Aupl: Saints Revive Hope as Sadolin, Express Register Away Wins

The Saints FC recovered from Sadolin Loss on Tuesday to pick victory away at Bright stars fortress at the Champions stadium in Mwererwe.

Isaac Kirabira scored the goal at the hour stroke with a calm finish after Bright Stars keeper Mathias Kigonya failed to hold on Alex Kitata’s stunner, punching the ball on the scorer’s path.

The Namboole based side move one place away from relegation thanks to a superior goal difference against SC Victoria. Bright stars on the other hand continue to plunge deep at eighth position in the legue standing.

Coach Paddy Kintu claimed his first win at prison’s side Maroons Fc after overcoming army side Simba Fc in Luzira in what was dubbed ‘the derby of the forces’. The lone goal was scored by Ismael Kiyega with just 20 minutes to time.

Sadolin Paints copied the same results by thrashing Lweza Fc at Wankulukuku with a 19th minute strike from Nasser Muzamir. The win leaves the Painters on ninth place with 28 points.

Another Jinja Side, the JMC Hippos registered a 3-2 win at Police in a five goal thriller. Richard Wandyaka opened the scores after 25 minutes but Ben Ochen pulled the hosts level four minutes later before Osman Mutumba doubled the lead just before halftime.

Constantine Nalumonso(Wandyaka’s brother) pulled the visitors level and Paul Emenyu finding the winner both in the 56th and 65th minute.

In the other game, Express came from a goal down to beat URA 2-1 in Lugazi. Ssentongo fired the tax collectors up into the break before Ibrahim Kayiwa and Tony Odur overturned the tables
