All the three Uganda Premier League newcomers have failed to get a win after the second sets of matches which were played on Tuesday afternoon.

Proline is not new in this competition since they’re returning after a two year spell in the second division. They were relegated at the end of 2013/14 season for finishing 15th with only 20 points.

Coached by their director Mujib Kasule, the team has drawn both their opening away game against Bul and home tie with Express. The first ended barren while they failed to protect Farouk Musisi’s 19th minute goal to draw one all with Express FC.

Big League champions, Kirinya Jinja SS FC failed to score a goal in two consecutive matches in nearly a full year.

So far two barren draws versus URA FC and rivals Jinja Municipal despite their strong and energetic attack force could be worrying their fans but not the head coach Alex Isabirye.

“These are young boys but they’re very talented,” Isabirye said adding that “we cannot judge them at this time of the season. They only need some time to acclimatize of which I believe they have by now.”

Most of the newcomers boast of very young players in their career dawn.

“We haven’t lost a game. I agreed to join this team to build my own since I have been using already made players in most cases. Other new teams also have potential, but we shouldn’t put a lot of pressure on them.”

The other promoted team, Onduparaka has managed a barren draw at home and then suffered 2-0 defeat away to Bright Stars at Matugga on day two.

The three return to action on Tuesday 6th with Onduparaka and Proline travelling to Express and Police respectively while Kirinya Jinja host Sadolin in a Bugembe derby.
