Uganda Cranes star Denis Onyango and his South African club Mamelodi Sundowns will face Group A runners-up Zesco United from Zambia in the CAF Champions League semi-finals.
The draw was automatically confirmed after the Zambian club were held to a one all draw by Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca on Wednesday at the Levi Mwanawasa stadium.
Kenyan international defender David Owino had put the Zambians ahead but Chisom Chikatara converted in the second half to draw level.
Sundowns lost their last group game 3-1 against Nigerian champions Enyimba FC on Tuesday in Port Harcout but still managed to top the group with nine points from three wins.
Onyango was absent in that match due to tactical reasons.
The victory was not enough for the Nigerians who bow out with only three points, below five time champions Zamalek SC with six.
Enyimba were responsible for the early exit of Ugandan Champions Vipers SC in the preliminary rounds of the competition.
The other semi final is a North African affair between Wydad Casablanca and Zamalek.
The first leg of the semifinals will be played in the weekend of September 14th-16th and the return legs a week later. Finals will be played late October.
