Kampala University have continued their superior away form picking a 2-1 first leg advantage at Busitema in the third quarter final of the 2016 University football league fixture played at the Lion’s Den grounds in Busitema.

Debutant Ibrahim Orit had worked well to fire the hosts to an early advantage, striking in the 17th after Kampala University’s defense had failed to deal away with a messy situation in their goal area.

Fidel Muyamana punished the hosts’ laxity from the spot with just minutes to the break after a defender handled the ball inside the red zone to deny a shot.

Busitema controlled a better part of the second half closing in their opponents but their attempts missed the final touch to bear results.

Abdul Walusimbi punished Busitema for their extravagance late in the game when he buried in Fidele’s low pass with just six minutes to close the business.

Ssebalabye and Abdul had made a quick counter attack after disposing off a potential build up from the hosts in the midfield and raced down then the former hit over to Fidele who slotted for Abdul

The return legs will be scheduled once the first leg quarter finals are done with. The games continue on Thursday with Nkumba University making a long trip to Gulu University.
