Pool: Former Champion in the Mix as Regional Qualifiers Continue

The search for the 2016 pool master continues on Friday 30th and Saturday 1st October at the regional level throughout the country.

This weekend, action has been spread to seven venues in six different towns including Fort Portal, Bushenyi, Kampala (Nansana and Kireka), Iganga, Masindi and Nebbi.

Eyes will be glued to action in Kireka where 2009 National Open Champion Fred ‘Bonde’ Namanya will be tussling out against several on-form players that include League One leading Scorer Ashiraf Mbazira (Cheers pool club) at Pool Nest Pub.

Last year’s League one Top Scorer Eddie Kawuki, his Betway teammate Abdul Ganny and Godfrey Toko (Boat pool club) are among the names to watch out at Pool Nest.

Big Zone club in Nansana is the other venue in Kampala that will host the qualifiers. Andy Kigundu (Icon club), Herbert Ndugga (CKI club) and Chris Mukasa (Betway) are the main contenders in this zone.

The other host venues for Friday qualifiers are Palz Bar (Bushenyi), Rocks pub (Iganga) and Forest Bar (Fort Portal). Sure Guest House (Masindi) and GAF apartments in Nebbi will be the place to watch on Saturday alongside Pool Nest.
