Kizza in, Azira Dropped as Micho Names Cranes Squad for Togo/Ghana

Four local based players have been named in the Cranes 19-man squad that will travel for the upcoming 2018 World cup qualifiers against Ghana on Sunday 9th in Kumasi.

The four include KCCA goalie Benjamin Ochan, UPL 2016-17 MVP Joseph Ochaya, Vipers captain Nicholas Wadada and his new teammate Hassan Waswa Mawanda.

Free States stars new signing Hamid Diego Kizza is the other inclusion from the squad that qualified for 2017 Afcon finals.

Colorado Rapids midfielder Mike Azira and Emmanuel Okwi are among those dropped from the final squad.

Fufa Vice president Darius Mugoya is the leader of delegation.

The team departed on Sunday night aboard an Ethiopian airlines flight to Togo where they will play a friendly match against the natives on Tuesday 4th in Kegue.

GOALKEEPERS: Denis Onyango (Mamelodi Sundowns- S. Africa), Salim Jamal (El Merreikh, Sudan), Benjamin Ochan (KCCA FC).

DEFENDERS: Nicholas Wadada (Vipers), Denis Iguma, Joseph Ochaya (KCCA FC),  Godfrey Walusimbi (Gor Mahia, Kenya), Isaac Isinde (St. Georges, Ethiopia), Murushid Jjuuko (Simba SC, Tanzania),

MIDFIELDERS: Tony Mawejje (Thortur, Iceland), Khalid Aucho (Baroka FC), Geoffrey ‘Baba’ Kizito (Than Quảng Ninh, Vietnam), Moses Oloya (Kuban Krasnodar, Russia), Wiliam Kizito Luwagga (Rio Ave, Portugal), Hassan Waswa (Vipers).

STRIKERS: Geoffrey Massa (Baroka, S. Africa), Farouk Miya (Std Liege, Belgium),  Yunus Sentamu (Ilves, Finland), Khamis Kiiza (Free states Stars, S.Africa)
