Uganda Cranes coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has moved to calm fears that may arise amongst the fans after the 1-0 loss to Togo on Tuesday in Lome.

“This game today (Togo) and that of Ghana on Friday have no connections,” Micho said. “We are totally different team when we play friendly and competitive game.”

The Sparrow Hawks netted the sole goal in the match at the half hour mark through Lalawele Atakora. Togo was using the match as part of their preparations for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations while Uganda was setting up for World cup qualifiers against Ghana on Friday in Tamale.

“We are happy to have played one very good match which was competitive. It enabled us to evaluate our players. We have also hidden something which we shall put on Friday (against Ghana).

Uganda XI: Salim Jamal, Nicholas Wadada, Godfrey Walusimbi, Isaac Isinde, Murshid Jjuuko, Hassan Wasswa, Luwagga Kizito, Dennis Iguma, Geoffrey Massa, Khalid Aucho, Farouk Miya.
