All Set for the Final Bend of the NRC Calendar

Motorsports Africa Club (MOSAC) will host the final event on this year’s National Rally Championship (NRC) calendar and the organisers have guaranteed their readiness ahead of the event.

While addressing the media on Tuesday at Speke hotel in Kampala, Shafik Matovu, the Clark of the course said everything is set and final preparations are being made to have a fantastic event.

“We are prepared, the roads are good enough to give us a thrilling event and I believe the fans will get a satisfying event,” he said.

This is the 7th and final event on the NRC calendar and will be hosted in Eastern Uganda (Jinja) between 18th-20th November.

According Matovu, the course will have seven sections with two sections on the first day while the other five will be covered on the second day.

On 18th November, drivers will cover the sections of Buwenge (23km) and Kagoma gate (10km) before a super special sprint at the Jinja Agricultural show ground in the afternoon.

The final day will have drivers going through Magamaga (9km), Musiita (24km), Muguluka (25km) with a repeat of the Buwenge and Kagoma sections.

The event will cover a total distance of 145kilometres of competitive sections.

Stiff competition is between Hassan Alwi who leads the championship with 469 points while second placed Jas Mangat has 400 points.

Over 35 drivers are expected to register for the MOSAC Jinja rally with deadline set for 11th November.
