A new sports trading company, D9 has promised to fund the sixteen teams playing in the Azam Uganda Premier League to the tune of Ushs 140 million.
According to the country coordinator, Mr. Smart Protus, D9 club will enter into partnership with teams playing in the elite league to help soccer fans boost their incomes.
“We shall inject 140 million shillings for the start to make sure the soccer fans earn money as they watch games. We believe at the end of the year the total investment could be about Ugx 520M.” he said during the official launch at Imperial Royale hotel in Kampala.
Over the weekend, the new company partnered with SC Villa ahead of the Kampala derby against Express covering match day expenses.
“We had our first shot during the SC Villa vs Express game and I believe it was a success so we want to push this partnership across the entire league,” added Protus.
D9 club, a trading company started by businessman Danilo Santana in January 2016 in Brazil giving opportunity to people to invest as they make profits off their initial capital has opened branches across the world.
According to Danilo, after registering with the company, the members earn profits and start earning weekly incomes every Monday for 52weeks.
In Uganda, the company started on September 7th but officially launched on 29th October at Grand Imperial Royale hotel.
