Uganda Cranes squad of local based players will play the eighth Cranes Namutiima/ Airtel regional tour this weekend on Saturday 5th at the Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
“The journey we have made in each and every region has been successful and given the team some consistency towards the games,” we have finalized all the logistics to have an entertaining game.”
Fufa spokesman Ahmed Hussein revealed that the Kampala region football association will unnveil their coach and squad later on Wednesday evening.
The Cranes have previously played all the other seven Fufa regions registering five wins, scoring 18 goals on the way. They have only lost to West Nile and drew in Mbale against Eastern Select.
“The regional tour started from Mbarara with Farouk Miya scoring the winning goal. This is one of the development programmes that prepares players for the main assignments which are African Cup qualifiers and World cup,” Micho said.
