Uganda Cranes Non Residential Training Enters Day Two

The Uganda national football team, the cranes trained for the second day ahead of three games that the team will play in eight days.

After summoning the team on Wednesday morning, the cranes had a friendly game with Azam Uganda Premier League leaders KCCA a game the national team won 1-0 courtesy of Erisa Ssekisambu.

On Thursday evening the team comprising of 25 players trained at Namboole outside pitch with head coach Milutin Sredejovic putting emphasis on efficiency in the final third.

The Uganda cranes will first play an internal friendly in the Cranes Namutima regional tour against the Kampala region on Saturday, thereafter play an international friendly game with Zambia on Tuesday before taking on Congo Brazzaville in the 2018 World cup qualifier at Mandela national stadium on Saturday.

Of the 22 locally based players only two did not attend Thursday’s training, that is Edrisa Lubega (Proline) and Onduparaka’s skipper Muhammad Shaban.

5 foreign based players also attended training and these included Geoffrey Baba Kizito, Tony Mawejje, Moses Oloya, Yunus Ssentamu and Salim Jamal Magoola.
