Uganda Cranes head coach, Milutin Sredejovic “Micho” has released his starting XI ahead of the game against Congo Brazzaville at Mandela national stadium on Saturday.

The biggest omission on the starting lineup is midfielder William Luwagga Kizito who plies his trade at Portuguese side Rio Ave.

Luwagga who had a poor display against Zambia in the international friendly has been replaced by Vipers defensive midfielder cum defender Hassan Wasswa with Micho opting for a 4-3-3 formation.

Robert Odongkara takes charge between the goal posts in the absence of first choice goalkeeper Dennis Onyango who is sidelined with an injury.

Viper’s skipper, Nicholas Wadada maintains his stay in the starting team at the right back position with Dennis Iguma starting on bench.

Joseph Ochaya starts in the left full back position while Jjuko Murushid and Isaac Isinde complete the defence line as the two centre backs.

Hassan Wasswa is joined by Aucho Kalid to patrol the midfield while midfield maestro Tony Mawejje takes the creative role.

The front three has captain Geoffrey Massa leading the line while Farouk Miya drifts in from the right as Moses Oloya cuts from the left wing.

Cranes starting XI: Robert Odongkara, Nicholas Wadada, Joseph Ochaya, Isaac Isinde, Murushid Jjuko, Hassan Wasswa, Khalid Aucho, Tony Mawejje, Geoffrey Massa, Miya Farouk, Moses Oloya
