
World football governing body, FIFA has approved suspended assistant referee Musa Ngobi Balikowa among the list of 22 Ugandan match officials who will be considered for different assignments in 2017.
The list is largely unchanged from last year’s and has only two new additions in assistant referee (male) Dick Okello and centre referee (lady) Habiba Naigaga Habiba.
Centre referee Irene Namubiru and male assistant official Samuel Kayondo have both been dropped from this year’s list.
Balikowa
Assistant referee Musa Ngobi Balikoowa was suspended by the FUFA Referees standing Committee (FRSC) on November 3rd after he was found guilty of poor officiation during the match between SC Villa Jogoo Vs Express FC on 29th October 2016 which was played at Namboole.

“FUFA Referees standing Committee (FRSC) has suspended one of the assistant referees Ngobi Balikoowa Musa who handled the Azam Uganda Premier League match no.86 between SC Villa Jogoo Vs Express FC on 29th October 2016 at Mandela National Stadium – Namboole.
The suspension takes immediate effect and for the rest of the 2016/17 season.”

Male referees: Miiro Brian Nsubuga, Batte Denis, Muhabi Alex, Ssali Mashood and Sabilla Chelangat Ali
Assistant referees: Ssonko Mark, Okello Lee, Katenya Ronald, Bugembe Hussein, Balikoowa Musa Ngobi and Okello Dick.
Beach Soccer: Kintu Ivan Bayige, Mugerwa Shafic and Ssenteza Muhammad
Women referees: Ssemambo Aisah Nabikko, Akoyi Anna and Naigaga Habiba
Women Assistant referees; Nagaddya Catherine Cyntia, Nakitto Marex Nkumbi, Mutonyi Jane, Atuhaire Docus and Nantabo Lydia Wanyama
