Jinja Municipal Hippos has requested URA FC to offer attacking midfielder Richard Wandyaka on loan until the end of the season.
This was revealed by club chairman Faisal Muhammad while speaking during a show at Apex FM in Jinja.
“We are requesting URA to release Wandyaka to us (JMC) on a short loan deal,” Faisal said. “Besides helping us, I want him to improve even better just like Madoi at Vipers.”
“He (Wandyaka) has not been getting a lot of playing time he deserves at his age because of the competition posed by more experienced midfielders in the team.”
Wandyaka, a former JMC Hippos skipper, moved to the tax collectors in August for a two year deal. The midfielder scored seven goals and six assists last season and was also shortlisted among the best three midfielders in the league.”
JMC is currently trapped in the relegation zone with only three points without a single win but the experienced chairman is racing to arrest the situation before it’s late.
“Our position on the league is a bit ugly but we are going to turn around. The team has trained well during the break and hope to start making positives with our next trip to Kavumba (vs Police FC),” he added.
