KCCA 3-2 Tusker
KCCA football club fought hard to claim victory against Kenya Premier league champions, Tusker in an international friendly game played on Saturday at Phillip Omondi stadium.
Muzamir Mutyaba’s strike at the death of the clock enabled the Uganda premier league defending champions defeat Tusker 3-2.
Tusker proved a perfect match for Mike Mutebi’s charges even when the Kenyan side went two goals down they came back to level the scores but Mutyaba popped up towards the end to inspire KCCA to a 3-2 victory.
Youngster Derrick Nsibambi gave KCCA a comfortable lead with a first half brace.
Nsibambi connected well with Geoffrey Sserunkuma to find space inside Tusker’s area and slotted past goalkeeper, Okello David.
The lead was stretched further in the 26th minute with Nsibambi tapping from close range, Joseph Ochaya’s low cross.
The visitors pulled one back through former KCCA and SC Villa player Anthony Ndolo at the stoke of halftime after a clumsy defending by Habib Kavuma.
Tusker came surging in the second half and a handball by defender Timothy Awany inside the forbidden area gave chance to the brewers to even the score.
Ghanaian lanky forward Stephen Owusu stepped up to convert the resultant penalty sending Benjamin Ochan, the wrong way.
With the game, destined for a draw, Mutyaba had different ideas as the creative midfielder curled from a free kick for KCCA to claim a last minute victory.
