Uganda cranes marked day four of the residential training on Thursday with three training sessions in a bid to get in good shape ahead of the forthcoming African cup of Nations.

Like it has been the case in the previous days, head coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic took the players in several drills in three sessions.

The day started with a light stretching session at 6:30am at Serene suites, Mutundwe where the team is camped.

From Serene suites, the team headed to Islamic University In Uganda (IUIU) female campus in Kabojja where the players had a mid-morning practical session with emphasis.

The final session of the day still was conducted in Kabojja in the evening (from 5pm to 7pm) with Micho trying out several formations and partnerships.

In defence, Isaac Isinde played along Jjuko Murushid on one side while on the other hand Richard Kasagga partnered Rashid Toha while Hassan Wasswa was employed in the midfield.

Like it was on day three, Vitalis Tabu, Edrisa Lubega, Martin Kiiza and Geoffrey Walusimbi operating in the wide areas to deliver crosses for the strikers.

Defender Ronald Mukiibi who had returned to the team after sustaining a thigh injury on Wednesday got a set back and he didn’t train with the team in the day’s final session.

Mukiibi sat out of yesterday’s training but was available for today’s mid-morning session.

However, he trained alone on the sides in the evening.

Micho is expected to trim the team from the 29 players that are currently in camp to 20 on Friday.
