Eight teams will be taking part in the Futsal Revamped tourney set for Monday 26th December, Boxing Day, at the Champions Futsal Arena, Busega.
The teams have been split into two equal pools.
Group A comprises Bagimu Futsal Club, Seeta Galacticos Futsal Club, Sema Futsal Club and Sona Futsal Club.
FAU, Oldies Futsal Club, Brotherhood Futsal Club and Viga Futsal Club make up pool B.
Top two teams in each group will advance to the semifinals.
“This is one way of promoting the new sport to the communities and that’s why we have opened up for other teams that didn’t take part in the elite league,” Futsal CEO Mr. Hamza Jjunju told ChimpSport.
“It’s through tournaments and different other activities that the game will grow to its full potential. We call on fans to come and enjoy the action.”
The tournament will also be used to gauge the referees who were passed out recently after training
