
Express FC Coach Matia Lule has released a total of ten players as he looks to revamp his squad composition ahead of the second round.
The club officially announced the names just some minutes to Christmas day.
“The following players have been officially released by the club and we would like to take this opportunity to thank them for the service they have rendered to our club and wish them the best in their careers,” the club posted.
The axed players include Strikers John Ssemazi and Isaac Sserunkuma, midfielder Rogers Lukwiya and goalie Ali Kigundu.
Others are centre back Bob Kasozi, Ivan Mutumba, Muhammad Kayongo, Yafesi Mubiru, Paddy Tebusweke and Richard Kigozi.
Pending transfers
The Red Eagles could also loose influential midfielder Ibrahim Saddam Juma who has been strongly linked with a move to KCCA FC and Kenyan champions Tusker FC.
