Onduparaka FC sensational teenager Muhammad Shaban’s moment of brilliance in the first half ensured Uganda Cranes picked a motivational 1-0 victory over Slovenia in Abu Dhabi.
Shaban who has now registered his third game in the famous shirt scored the lone strike for coach Micho’s side.
Cranes entered the closed door build up at the back of a 2-0 loss at the hands of North African giants Tunisia on Wednesday 4 January.
The Uganda Cranes will play highly ranked European side, Slovakia on Sunday and then complete with Afcon reigning champions Cote d’Ivoire on 11th before heading to Gabon for the finals.
Uganda is pooled in group D alongside The Pharaohs of Egypt, Ghana and Mali.
