Betway Power vs City Oilers
Very few people, if any gave chance to Betway Power to reach the 2016 National Basketball League (NBL).
Literally with no major signing at the start of the season, Power stood no chance against money bags City Oilers and KIU Titans who had additions to their teams.
However, with a small and fixed roster, Power defied the odds to reach the finals after defeating KIU Titans in the semifinals.
The uphill challenge however will be whether, the five time champions can stop City Oilers dominance.
Failure to have the finals staged towards the end of last year, due to City Oilers participation in the Africa club champions, the NBL finals tip off today (Friday) at the MTN Arena, Lugogo.
Arnold Lando, the head coach at Power will hope his side raise to the occasion and have a good start against Oilers in game one.
Power have an injury concern with Paul Odong who sustained an injury in training on Wednesday and he is a major doubt for today’s clash.
