After a bloody Uganda Premier League match between Bright Stars and KCCA FC that led to a one match ban of goalie Mathias Kigonya now the teams will have to meet again in the 2016 Uganda Cup quarter finals.

The draws for the last eight were held on Wednesday morning during a weekly Press conference at the Fufa house in Mengo under the guidance of Fufa competitions manager Ali Mwebe and his communications counterpart Ahmed Hussein.

In the draws KCCA Fc will make another trip to Bright Stars in a date available from Saturday 23rd. The quarter finals is a one off 90 minute match that can be decided with Fifa penalty spot kicks in case of a stalemate.

In the other ties, Lweza Fc will host 2nd division side Entebbe Fc while Hope Doves wait for the winner between Airtel Kitara and Vipers SC.

“Its always a bigger challenge when you play away from home especially in a knock out tournament like the Uganda cup. Playing at home always gives you that confidence Whig is an advantage. Nevertheless we shall prepare adequately for the game,” Hope Doves coach Asaph Tumwebaze told this website in reaction to the draws.

Pending fixtures
By the fact that Express failed to honor their round of 32 game against Airtel Kitara, the regional team has thus been given the win and will progress to last 16 where they play Vipers SC on Tuesday 19 April at the Boma grounds, Hoima.

Busia Fisheries are also in line to play Soana and the winner dates the equivalent in the game pitting SC Villa and Onduparaka FC.
