Prisons side, Maroons FC embark on a daring journey to Lugazi in a quest to redeem their survival chances against URA FC at the Mekhta stadium.

The warders are bottom of the table with only nine points, seven away from safety while their hosts have their eyes set on the title with 28 points just seven below the table leaders KCCA FC.

URA FC has collected 19 points at Lugazi, the best home record in the division while their visitors have the poorest away record with only two points.

The tax collectors understand the kind of opposition they face after dropping two valuable points in the first round away.

“They (Maroons) held us in December so we must very cautious. I must admit that they play entertaining football which we must be cautious of. The team is ready and ready to get back to winning ways. We lost something very important against Bright stars and being at home this the its just the win and no less,” URA FC assistant coach Sadiq Waswa said in a prematch meeting.

URA FC will await late confirmation if Oscar Agaba will be in right shape of mind to play following recent domestic woes. Allan Munaaba is on duty with the national team and won’t feature while Brian Bwete is expected back.

Maroons are having full squad save for Raphael Winju who has been excused from the match day squad after losing his father while longtime absentee Ronald Orombi will continue warming the stands with broken leg.

“We are in a tough and compromising situation that not no one would love to be but its the nature of the game. We still have 13 games to play and anything can happen. I am confident my team can shock some teams here and their. I don’t believe in the word ‘big team’ because we play in the same level (league),” Maroons head coach Paddy Kintu remarked.

Marine will welcome back Eddy Muyingo from injury.

The team’s captain, Sylvester Okello believes they are geared up for the game after a last minute error caused them to bow out of the Uganda cup.

“We have been lacking concentration towards the end of the game and conceded goals that cost us. We are confident it won’t happen again. Right now the team is only looking for points no matter the opponents-we just need points.”

The game kicks off at 4pm and will be live on Azam pay TV.
