Soana Football Club has some scores to settle when they host JMC Hippos at Kavumba Recreational grounds on Friday afternoon.

The last time both sides met was on December 22nd where JMC Hippos captain Richard Wandyaka made a record scoring four stunning goals to give coach Ayiekoh one of his biggest defeats in the league.

The script hasn’t changed much over time since then as the Kavumba outfit are nursing wounds after another 4-0 humiliation at the hands of another league debutant The Saints FC last Saturday.

“Things didn’t go well in our last game because we were not only unlucky but we did poorly in our defense and goal keeping departments. All I can say is that it was a bad day at office and we all take full responsibility as a team and believe we are back on track. To that effect I have made five changes to the team and I expect a better performance from them,” said coach Ayiekoh.

Among the six inclusions expected in today’s game are Ayub Kiiza, Timothy Musinguzi, new recruit Eddie Ruweza, Allan Kayiwa and goal keeper DidI Muhammed who was in goal in Jmc first leg loss.

Ayiekoh believes all is not and his team is still on track to hit their season’s target, “our target this season is a top five finish and the Uganda cup. Its not yet over we shall reach their with time. The league is tight only two wins can make a difference.”

Long time absentee, Francis Olaki is the only notable mid for Soana but the Jinja side will miss attacking duo of Mugoya Mustapha and Patrick Onyango both injured while centre back Constantine Nalumonso is unfit for the game.

“The team is in good shape and can easily replace those missing. Our main target has been to get points from all games we play. The first round win is past now,” JMC coach Odoch said.

Soana FC have only picked four points from five games at home same as Jmc last five in the league generally. The hosts sit on 9th position after accumulating 25 points just one above their opponents who occupy the 11th.
