Argentine Hector Cuper has admitted that Morocco proved a hard nut to crack even though his side, Egypt, walked away with a 1-0 victory in the quarter finals played on Sunday.
“The toughest part of the match was the whole 90 minute,” Cuper noted. “We saw how both teams miss scoring chances.”
“I congratulate Morocco for their performance, they are a team for the future and their coach Herve Renard did an awesome job. We had some problem with the aerial balls but Thank God we won.”
Mahmud Kahraba came off the bench to seal the win with an 88th minute goal and was named the Total man of the match afterwards.
Fatigue
Egypt booked a slot in the last four. They face Burkina Faso on Wednesday in the first semifinal at the Stade de L’Amite but the coach decries fatigue.
“We have a game in just 48 hours but I have to adapt with that. We’ll try to give the players time for rehabilitation and hopefully they will be ready for next game.
