The rumors concerning Uganda Cranes goalie, Denis Onyango’s future have finally been put to rest after the keeper and his club Mamelodi Sundowns agreed a new four year extension deal.

The deal was agreed and signed on Tuesday morning after protracted talks between the Brazilians and Onyango’s agent Ivica Stankovic.

South Africa media Kickoff revealed the news on Wednesday after the deal was confirmed.

The 31 year old moved to South Africa on July 1 2006 to join Supersport United from St. George FC in Ethiopia. He had earlier local stints with Sharing Youth and SC Villa.

Onyango later moved to Black Aces in 2011 before signing with Sundowns the next season. The Brazilians loaned him to Bidvest Wits for a year after failing to command a position in the team and returned on June 30 2014.

His initial contract was set to expire on June 30th 2018 but will now stay until 2021.
