Proline vs Police FC
Phillip Omondi stadium 4:00pm
Coach Abdallah Mubiru will be at the spotlight as Proline takes on Police football club this Tuesday at the Phillip Omondi stadium in the Azam Uganda premier league.
Mubiru who is the current head coach at Police FC faces his former employers Proline a side where he worked for a spell of two years between 2011-2012 before joining KCCA FC as assistant coach.
Into his second league game in charge, Mubiru will be seeking for another positive result today as the cops aim to move away from the drop zone.
Police began the second round of the league with a 2-0 commanding victory against Sadoiln Paints and this could be a spurring factor as they take on Proline.
Equally on the other hand, Proline are in high spirits after a 3-1 triumph against stubborn Onduparaka last week and Mujib Kasule, the Proline head coach would want to build a winning momentum early enough to relieve the relegation pressure.
‘The performance we put against Onduparaka was impressive, the boys were focused and worked as unit and we would love to keep the same spirit in the fixtures ahead of us,” said Mujib Kasule after the game against Onduparaka.
Team News
Proline
Midfielder Emmanuel Magembe is still sidelined with an ankle injury while combative holding midfielder Sam Kintu will miss the game through suspension. Kintu has accumulated three yellow cards which compels him to miss one game.
There is however good news for the Lugogo based club with the timely return of skipper Simon Mbaziira from injury and is likely to fill the void left by Sam Kintu.
Police
Abdallah Mubiru will miss the services of lanky defender Martin Mpuuga who picked up an injury in training and is expected to be replaced by Taimur Kimera to partner Ibrahim Kibumba in the centre back.
Experienced defender Ssaka Mpiima is still serving his ban he got while still at Proline in the first round and thus won’t feature in today’s game.
