
Rwanda’s Junior Wasps (national Under-20) head coach Jean Baptiste Kayiranga has summoned Vipers Sports club striker Laurent Iradukunda in the team preparing for the second leg of the Afcon U-20 qualifiers against Uganda Hippos.
The Ugandan-based attacker has been called together with with Sunrise Fc striker Niyibizi Vedaste to boost the striking line.
The Rwandans entered camp on Sunday at La Palisse Hotel in Nyandungu and started training on Monday at Amahoro in preparation for Saturday’s game in Kampala.
The game ended one all in Nyamirambo a fortnight ago, Rwanda’s goal coming through Marines FC midfielder Blaise Itangishaka in the dot before Edrisa Lubega seventeen minutes later.
Ugandan keeper Saidi was red carded in the second half.
Rwanda need a win or scoring draw for any hopes of progressing.
The aggregate winner takes over Egypt for a ticket to the tournament scheduled for next year from February 26-March 12 in Zambia.
