Sadolin Paints 3-0 Bright stars
Sadolin Paints put a resuscitated performance to earn their first win since the start of the second round of the league.
After losing three successive games (Police 0-2, Kirinya Jinja SS 0-2 and SC Villa 0-1), Sadolin found themselves dropping in the relegation mix but assured they defeated Bright stars to boost their chances of survival.
In the game played on Saturday at Mandela national stadium, Basan Saaf netted a first half brace before Sijali Jamali put the game beyond reach in the second period.
The painters coach, Simon Kirumira made five changes to the team that started against SC Villa including goalkeeper Hatimu Hilbert who started ahead of Baker Yunus.
Basan Saaf broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute tapping home Fred Kyambadde’s cross .
The diminutive forward doubled the lead 13 minutes later and Sadolin Paints took a comfortable 2-0 lead at halftime.
Sijali Jamali washed away Bright stars chance of a comeback scoring Sadolin’s the third goal with 16 minutes to time.
The result means Sadolin Paints move one position up on the table to 12th on 20 points while Bright stars remain 7th on 25 points.
