After losing to Bul FC 1-0 in the league last time out,  defending champions Vipers SC have gone on to win two consecutive Uganda cup matches against Airtel Kitara(4-1) and 2nd division side Hope Doves (2-0) respectively.

In both games, star striker Erisa Sekisambu went on to score four goals in the process.  The striker’s prowess will be much needed on Tuesday to beef up attack when the team host relegation bound SC Victoria university.

The two last played out 2-1 in favor of the Buikwe side which got through Farouk Miya and a Deus Bukenya long range stunner.

Vipers are nine points adrift of leaders KCCA FC though the champions have two at hand with the two set to clash on Friday.

“It is very vital to win if we are to reduce the gap on KCCA,” Nsimbe stressed ahead of the game.

SC victoria’s hopes of survival are all but dead having swallowed 19 goals in the last five games.

Actually a win for Saints today and a loss to the university side would mean the team heads back to next season’s big league.

There are no major injuries in both ends,  with under-20 defender Halid Lwalirwa expected to return into the team after the successful national assignment against Rwanda over the weekend.

Vipers match day squad;
