AUPL: Sekisambu’s Master Class Over SCVU Draws Vipers Near to Title

At the beginning of the season, league champions Vipers SC raided SC Villa for the 2015 Uganda cup most prized asset, Erisa Sekisambu. The aim was to get one person to fit in Farouk Miya’s shoes who would soon leave for greener pastures.

The signing is now paying dividends after the striker hit a memorable hattrick to lift the defending champions to a 4-0 win over relegation bound SC Victoria University and edge closer to defending their title.

Sekisambu ushered the onslaught just after five minutes of play connecting in Mike Mutyaba’s cross past Ramathan Male in SC Victoria’s goal.

The striker added salt to Victoria’s wounds with his second in the 62nd minute off Wadada’s assist just ten minutes before Mike Mutyaba made it 3-0.

Sekisambu finished the business with another great strike over the keeper from Musa Malinda’s cross.

Sad note.
Early in the 52nd minute, the Victoria side suffered a huge setback when first choice keeper Ramadhan Male fractured his leg after a terrible collision with Vipers midfielder Sulaiman ‘Mike’ Mutyaba.

The victory therefore means that should the defending champions get a result against KCCA FC on Friday and then win their remaining games, they can go ahead and retain the title.

On the other side, SC Victoria could confirm their relegation if they drop any single point from their three remaining games or if Saints and Simba don’t cross the 28 points mark.
