Kirinya Jinja Secondary School (SS) football club are ready to bolster their squad with new players to avoid last season’s predicament.

The Jinja based side survived relegation from Uganda Premier League by whisker after languishing at the bottom of the table for the major part of the season.

The club management have made intentions to land midfielder Brian Kakaire and striker Musa Esenu on loan from Vipers SC.

This comes a day after Vipers announced that the two are among the players that will be leaving the club on loan next season.

A reliable source from Kirinya Jinja SS intimated to ChimpReports that the new club CEO, Ahmed Kongola has already written to Vipers asking to have the players on loan.

“The CEO wrote to them (Vipers) about having Brian Kakaire and Musa Esenu on loan next season and they are waiting for a reply,” said a source that preferred anonymity.

If the deal goes through, Brian Kakaire will be returning to a team that he formerly played for.

The crafty midfielder was a student at Jinja Secondary School and player for the team in the Fufa Big league before moving to Sweden in 2014.

He joined Vipers last season but spent most of the time on the sidelines struggling with injuries.

Musa Esenu on the other hand joined the Venoms in a multimillion move at the start of last season after a brilliant spell at Soana FC.

The player however has failed to cut the grade at St. Mary’s stadium and the club is ready to offload him at least on loan.

In January this year, Vipers loaned Bashir Miranda and John Ssemazi to Kirinya Jinja SS and the good relationship is likely to be replicated.

It is also reported that the club is also weighing the possibility of signing out of favour striker, Robert Mukongotya from URA FC.

Kirinya Jinja SS have already signed seven players and these include; Emmanuel Rubangkene (Paidha Black Angels),Fred Amaku (Paidha Black Angels), Sabir Nesta (Paidha Black Angels), Jimmy Jalendo (JMC Hippos), Willy Makuro (JMC Hippos), Faizal Muledhu (Sadolin Paints) and Andrew Basoma(Sadolin Paints).
