Andy Mwesigwa Tips Aspiring Players on Professional Football

Rock solid defender Andrew ‘Andy’ Mwesigwa has advised all the upcoming players to give out all their best when playing football if they are to succeed in the competitive football world.

Mwesigwa was a guest speaker at a workshop organized by Alpha Sports and attended mostly by Kireka United players with a theme ‘Developing a complete football player.

Mamerito Hotel, Bweyogerere was the venue of the seminar.

Mwesigwa kicked off his moving speech with a synopsis of football history.

“To tell you a little thing about my background, my dad was a Sports officer in Army way back in Jinja. It gave me a chance to access most of the sports equipment and that’s where I developed the love for the game,” Mwesigwa said.

The Cranes international defender added: “I have been a very hardworking and religious person, and am where I am because of my hard work.”

He went further to urge young lads to stay in school, eat well and also to stay away from Smoking and drinking Alcohol so as they can stay in good shape.

Other speakers present on the day included ex-Cranes international Dan Walusimbi, FUFA delegates and U17 Express FCcoach Kalungi.

Apollo Ahimbisibwe, FIFA players’ agent Kayemba Godfrey, Kamoga Sula, Simeone Masaba, Ronnie Lusulire and CBS radio presenter Patriko Mujuuka also grace the event.
