JKL lady dolphins vs Gladiators
Nkumba Lady Marines vs Magic Stormers.
The Federation of Uganda Basketball Association (FUBA) on Friday evening confirmed that this Sunday’s games which were initially scheduled to be played at MTN indoor Arena Lugogo will now be moved to YMCA court in Wandegeya.
With such a short notice, the Lady Mariners are not bothered and their Point guard Brenda Ekon, who has been averaging 20 points per game believes that her team is more than ready.
“The team is well prepared and we are really ready to take over magic stomers,” Ekon affirmed.
On whether she is afraid of her opponents today, Ekon strongly said that she fears none.
“I don’t fear anyone because I don’t know their new signings; I have never watched them play, so I would say I don’t fear anyone.”
Nkumba’s opponents, Magic Stormers had a perfect start this season when they picked maximum points against Lioness, Javon Ladies, KIU and Gladiators but have since fallen to the superiority of KCCA leopards and Lady Dolphins.
Whether the Stormers are in fine form to bounce back and return to winning ways is a question that is yet to be answered.
The first game of the day will see Boniface Okello’s JKL lady Dolphins play host to the visiting Gladiators.
Lady Dolphins, who still miss the services of Stella Oyella, will look to the on form pair of Lean Nalunkuuma and Jamila Nansikombi for a victory.
