Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) have confirmed Aggrey Ashaba as the new club chairman on an interim basis.
This comes after the voluntary resignation of Julius Raymond Kabugo three weeks ago. The position has been vacant.
Ashaba has been serving on the KCCA FC board as a member but will now take on the mantle to head the club.
The development was confirmed on Monday evening by the KCCA Executive Director, Jennifer Musisi Semakula through a statement released on the club official social media outlets.
“As @JuliusKabug bows out of office today following his voluntary resignation @KCCAED appoints @AshabaA in AG capacity as chairman of KCCA FC,” the statement reads.
Kabugo stepped down on July 13, citing a busy schedule that could not allow him continue to serve the club in that capacity.
This is one of the changes that are happening at the Lugogo based club. Recently, the club CEO, David Tamale was relieved of his duties and now Josephine Namukisa is the interim CEO.
