The National Basketball League will continue today with 10 teams in action today at the YMCA Outdoor Court in Wandegeya.
The major highlight of the action packed Sunday will see Record six-time Champions StarTimes Falcons take on fellow strugglers Sharing Youth.
In the first round, Falcons started with 4 consecutive defeats against JKL, Power, Nkumba and Ndejje University Angels before facing with Sharing Youth in their 5th game.
Bernard Okumu and Vinnie Jurua scored 20 and 15 points respectively as Falcons ended their losing streak, but it’s still a mystery whether Falcons will regain that X-factor and force history to repeat itself.
It has been a poor season so far Falcons, winning just 2 games from the 11 first round games they played, with the other win coming against UPDF Tomahawks.
If Falcons are to revive them and look close to what everyone expects them to be, they have 11 more games to do it, and that should start now.
In the other games, UPDF Tomahawks will look to the inspiration of their Youngster, Henry Okoth if they are to upset UCU Canons who have a chance to go jaunt second on the log with a victory today.
Ndejje University Angels will also take center court with bottom placed Nkumba Marines, as JKL Dolphins will! Play host to the visiting Our Saviour Basketball team in the last game of the day.
In the ladies category, KIU Rangers will hope to start their season on a good note when they take on Gladiators.
In their last meeting, Brenda Aujat ended up on the losing side after scoring 20 points, with the University side taking the day with a 60-46 dominating victory.
