Former Uganda Cranes Coach, Sredejovich ‘Micho’ Milutin started his second spell after a 10 year hiatus with South African club Orlando Pirates.

The Serbian Tactician managed to help the Soweto Giants hold out to a 1-0 win over Chippa United in their opening Absa Premiership clash of the 2017/18 season.

Thamsanqa Gabuza scored a first half goal as the Buccaneers in a close encounter played at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday evening.

In an after-match press briefing, Micho reserved sometime to congratulate the Uganda Cranes, for their achievement.

“I’m very happy for Uganda qualifying for CHAN. I’m also happy for the guys who are coaching there because they worked with me,” he said.

“But just like Rhulani has left Sundowns, I have left Uganda. We are soldiers of Orlando Pirates & are moving forward together”

Coach Micho, it should be recalled, played a big part in widening Uganda Cranes’ chances of qualifying to the upcoming 2018 CHAN tournament notably, when he steered the country past the South Sudan tie.

Micho’s next trip will be in Polokwane, Pietersburg as his Orlando Pirates takes on Baroka before a hpme game at Orlando Stadium with Ajax Cape Town.

Orlando Pirates has suffered a 5 year barren spell without tasting a league title since their back to back victories in 2011 and 2012.
