As things look, Arua based Onduparaka FC are not waking up from their footballing dream after the side whitewashed Big league side Busia Fisheries 3-0 in a pending Uganda Cup round of 16 fixture played on Monday at their Green light stadium.
The youthful side are just fresh from qualifying to the country’s topflight after clumping down Sporting United on Saturday in a similar fashion as today, a milestone that was followed by a massive after party that entered slightly Sunday.
But just when everyone thought fatigue and hangover would haunt the team, they turned up in a different gear and replicated the result on the Busia side with a brace from team captain Shabaan Ejagason Muhammad and an addition from Yamandu Tawakal.
To reach this stage, the coach Allan Kabonge’s caterpillars had overcome Nine time cup holders SC Villa Jogoo at Nakivubo through penalties and are set to face Soana FC in the quarter finals scheduled for Thursday this week.
From there, they’re expected at Lugogo on Saturday to play in the finals of the 2015-16 Fufa big league against Kirinya Jinja Ss- the other promoted side.
The winner of the tie will face off with Entebbe FC in a home and away basis Semifinals.
The winner of the Uganda cup represents the country in the Caf confederations cup next year.
