Ladies: KIU Rangers vs Nkumba Lady Marines, 6pm
Kampala International University ladies’ Basketball team the KIU Rangers will face off with Nkumba Lady Marines in the National Basketball Leaguel at YMCA court in Wandegeya.
The last encounter between these two sides, Brenda Ekone and Fina Busingye scored 27 and 15 points respectively for the Mariners who emerged with a 71-50 victory on June 30.
Since that defeat, the Rangers have played 5 games; winning twice, against Lioness and Gladiators in the league.
Rangers whose outstanding players this season so far include; Ritah Komugisha, Irakoze Aurore and Fionah Apiyo – sit 8th on the log with 13 points.
Nkumba Lady Marines on the hand have had an average season, winning 5 and losing 5 of their first 10 league games to go 5th on the table with 15 points.
The Entebbe basketball side lost their last game, falling 65-84 to a determined A1 Challenge side.
