Express FC vs Kirinya Jinja SS, Muteesa II Stadium

Express FC will host Jinja based side Kirinya Jinja SS at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankuluku in the Azam Uganda Premier League.

The Wankulukuku based side has had many changes both in the coaching and playing Staff.

Coach Matia Lule left after the club failed to clear his 4-months arears and now a trio of Edward Kalungi, Sam Kawalya and Hassan Mubiru will sit on the bench to issue out instructions.

The club has lost a couple of players that include Vincent Onyebuchi (contract expired, broken leg), Simon Sserunkuma, Mahad Kakooza, Allan Kyambadde among others.

The Club chairperson, Florence Nakiwala has managed to fill the gaps, whether they will fill the boots is a question that will be answered later on.

Steven Bengo and Mzee Dan Sserunkuma headline the big names added to the lineup of the Red Eagle roster, and the duo comes in with plenty of experience.

Kirinya Jinja also visits Wankulukuku with a new coach, as Charles Ayieko replaced Bogere Kikomeko.

Like their opponents, they have also been busy in the transfer window, notably bringing in ‘loanees’ from Vipers that is Ibrahim Kayiwa, Bashir Mutanda and Musa Esenu.

The club has also bought strikers Fred Amaku and Faizal Muwawu.

Last season, Kirinya Jinja finished 10th on the log with 44 points with the second water-tight defense department in the league that conceeded only 22 league goals, Vipers shipped in 18 goals.

Head to Head

These two clubs have only met twice in the league, and that was last season.

Express won the away game with a lone goal and they shared spoils at Wankulukuku in a one all goal draw.
