Maroons 0-2 Onduparaka
Onduparaka Football club registered their first win this season with a fantastic display against Maroons Football club.
In the game played at the Maroons stadium in Luzira on Saturday, a second half brace from forward Samson Caesar Okhuti helped the visitors to earn maximum points.
Despite coming into the game on the back of a goalless draw against defending champions KCCA FC, Maroons didn’t put up the same performance like they did on Tuesday.
With the opening 45 minutes being an end to end affair, both teams got chances to break the deadlock.
However, goalkeepers on either side put the strikers at bay with Nicholas Sebwato denying William Wadri while Emmanuel Akol on the other hand was in the right place to stop attempts from Gadaffi Wahab and Gadaffi Gadinho.
Caesar Okhuti had other options in the second half getting the lead for Onduparaka eight minutes after recess.
The experienced forward dazzled through Maroons defence before slotting home.
Moments later, reckless play from defender Allan Anguyo gifted Okhuti with the ball and he didn’t make any mistake to slot home past helpless Akol.
The result moves Onduparaka to second position on the table with 4 points while Maroons drop to the base of the log on one point.
