Ugandan striker Emmanuel Okwi who plies his trade at Tanzanian Club Simba FC scored a brace as the 2011/2012 Champions defeated Mwadui FC.
The achievement earned the striker a man of the match accolade.
John Bosco scored the other as Simba FC picked a 3-0 victory in the Tanzania Mainland league on Sunday, September 17.
It should be noted that Okwi recently broke Tanzania’s scoring record when he hit 4 goals against Ruvu Shooting FC during the league opener, becoming the first player to do so for the past 10 years.
Simba FC whose assistant Coach is Uganda’s Jackson Mayanja came into the Sunday tie at the back of a 2-1 victory against Singida United.
The Tanzanian giants who have not won the league since the 2011/2012 season, will return to action against Stand United at Kambarage Stadium on Saturday, September 23.
Okwi scored the lone goal as Uganda Cranes defeated Egyptian Pharaohs recently in Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
