FJL: Vipers, Soana Suffer Defeat

Action in the Fufa Junior League continued with match day two fixtures on Sunday, with several shocking results.

Defending champions Soana soccer academy suffered their first defeat of the season at the hands of newly promoted side Mbarara City Junior team.
In the game played at Kakyeka stadium, the Mbarara based side outwitted Soana 3-1 to go top of hat-trick group.
Nathaniel Atamba  scored twice before Hassan Faki added the other for Mbarara City.
The result means Mbarara City take an early lead topping hat-trick group on eight points.
Vipers suffered a shocking defeat at home (St.Mary’s stadium) to neighbours and new comers Masavu junior team.
Joseph Mubiru scored the lone goal of the game to help the visitors take maximum points.
Elsewhere, SC Villa Jogoo junior team who had suffered defeat to Soana in the first game put up a resuscitated performance to edge Proline Soccer academy 2-1.
Charles Lwanga took matters in his own hands grabbing a brace for Villa. Proline pulled one back through Rogers Mato .
UPDF junior team continued their perfect start to the season with another victory on the road. They had defeated Kirinya Jinja SS last week.
In a thrilling encounter, UPDF FC held their nerves to eventually win the game 3-2.
Maroons suffered a 1-0 loss to URA junior team while the encounter between Bright stars and Express ended in a 1-1 draw.
Earlier on in the week, Onduparaka JT had defeated KCCA SA 3-0 while the Jinja derby between BUL and Kirinya ended in a one all draw.
