Masavu FC vs SC Vipers, 4.30pm

Ahead of Masavu-Vipers brawl at Fisheries Grounds in Bugonga, the Visitors’ Coach Miguel Da Costa has vowed to attack the new league entrants from the word go.

Speaking to ChimpReports, Da Costa said: “The team has had some momentum and I’m quite sure that we are steadily improving per game. We are ready to press them harder and I’m sure that we will pick the 3 points.”

SC Vipers visit Masavu FC at the back of a hard fought controversial 1-0 victory against SC Villa at Kitende on Saturday.

Commenting on the impact of the Villa victory, the Coach said: “I think SC Villa is like any other team, it’s just one game, its just 3 points that we got so nothing much.”

Adding, “We want to collect as many points as we can though I must stress that its always important to beat your rivals.”

The Kitende based side has collected 7 points; drawing to Bright Stars in the league opener before BUL FC and SC Villa victories.

The win for the Kitende based side will move the Club to 10 points, after collecting

Another victory today will push the Club to 10 points, but that will be achieved in the absence of Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye, Halid Lwaliwa, and Ezekiel Sseninde who are sidelined.

Masavu the Hosts

The encounter today is the first for Masavu FC at Bugonga as the initially scheduled league opener against Police FC was called off because Masavu FC failed to provide player licenses.

The Entebbe-based Club has had mixed emotions with their following trips, winning at Lugogo against Proline before suffering a narrow defeat to Soana FC in Kavumba.

Coached by Alex Gitta and Joseph Mutyaba, Masavu FC will look to the inspiration of their attackers in Abraham Nduggwa and Peter Lomolo for goals.

This is the first time these two neighbours face off in a competitive game, however, it should be noted that they faced off in a friendly that Vipers won 2-0 and later drew on the road.
