Masavu FC 0-2 Vipers SC
New league entrants Masavu FC played their first physical home game at their new ground at Bugonga Fisheries in Entebbe.
Welcoming home fellow neighbours SC Vipers, the visitors managed to come on top of the Entebbe Road derby with a goal in either half to seal a comfortable 2-0 victory in an entertaining affair.
Dazzling attacker Milton Kariisa ran free on goal to beat off Masavu shot stopper Mansoor Mutumba before slotting the ball home for the opener to take a halftime 1-0 lead.
Masava fame boy Steven Mukwala who got a starting spot in the squad ahead of Tony Odur opened his scoring account back in the second half when he took off Suleiman Pengere with his blistering pace to notch a neat low ball into the far left corner of the goal for the second.
The hosts who barely created an open scoring chance in the Second half of the game were pedestrians at their own backyard with only Abram Nduggwa and Charles Odeke their only hope for a goal but they looked blunt on the day.
The victory takes Vipers to ten points with Masavu FC remaining on 3 points.

Masavu FC Coach Alex Gitta: “It’s our first physical game at home, we did only 2 mistakes and they were the only ones that we were punished from, so we were just punished. We tried our level best, but as u knows Vipers are a team that has more pedigree.”
Vipers SC Coach Miguel Da Costa: “It’s a difficult pitch with many ups and downs, it was a good challenge but we managed to win. I’m so proud of my players for such a wonderful performance.”
What next for both sides
