URA FC vs KCCA FC

Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club will hope that history repeats itself today as they play host to the reigning Azam Uganda Premier League Champions KCCA FC at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.

Last season, URA FC picked away 4 points against Mike Mutebi’s yellow submarines – With Peter Lwasa scoring the lone goal to secure a late 1-0 victory in Lugazi before drawing 2-2 in a return leg fixture in Lugogo.

The Visitors Coach Mutebi in a press conference held yesterday at Lugogo was very confident that his side will pick a positive result.

“We are not intimated and worried about them actually because we have worked on our defensive errors so as we don’t concede,” he said.

“I currently have the best centre forwards in the currently who are going to compete well, it’s going to be a difficult game but my side is well prepared because I will need a positive result.”

Ibrahim Kirya of URA FC on the other side revealed that his side is in buoyant mood ahead of this encounter and also believes that he has the upper hand.

“It’s good to be a good game, but the fact that we are playing at home, we will go for a win.”

The hosts come into this encounter at the back of a goalless draw in Luzira against Maroons, a point which took their tally to 4 points from their 3 league games.

Following their opening 2 consecutive draws, visitors KCCA FC managed to beat Onduparaka 4-1 to go to 5 points.
