The last time Sadolin Paints won a game was against The Saints in the first ever competitive match at the Fufa Technical center in Njeru, where Andrew Basooma’s lone strike picked maximum points for the painters. The two sides meet today in Namboole with The Saints at home.
Since the two clashed Saints have won three games, scoring ten goals. The Saints team has changed a lot including the technical bench led by coach Basena and Oloya.
The coffee spirit sponsored debutants thrashed Bul FC 3-1 and Soana Fc 4-0 to rise above the relegation zone for the first time. They are positioned 13th with 16 points, six below their Tuesday visitors who sit a place above. However, The Saints have played two games less.
“We respect all the teams in AUPL(league). We trained well and prepared for the game in tomorrow’s game (vs Sadolin Paints), the team which creates more chances and utilizes them will take the day. We are ready for the game because all our games are finals,” Saints deputy coach Oloya told Chimp Sport in an interview.
Saints will miss Ivan Mbowa who is out due to malaria illness but welcome back Patrick Senfuka Masiko.
Sadolin on the other side welcome back inspirational team captain Peter Katumba from injury while the rest of the squad is intact and in good health.
Peter Katumba is confident his team will pick Maximum points. “Iam back and my mission is to return the team to the top eight. We cant loose to Saints because that will put us in a rather compromising situation.”
Coach Musafiri’s thought
“We beat them the last time we faces but of course a lot of things have changed and team has improved under the two coaches. My biggest problem was scoring and that is what we have been working on. We have lost 4-0, 2-0 and drew 0-0 in our last three games, so that shows the defense has improved.”
