With the Fufa Women elite league a few days away from kick off, several teams are making final preparations to make sure the new season finds them in good shape.

Defending champions Kawempe Muslim showed their intent with a comfortable 3-1 win over Uganda Martyrs High School Rubaga.
In the game played at the valley grounds on Friday, striker Juliet Nalukenge took matters into her own hands to help Kawempe cruise past Uganda Martyrs.
The lethal striker bagged a hat trick (three goals) on the day while the visitors pulled one back through skipper Shadia Nankya.
Following the departure of reigning Fufa best female footballer Hasifa Nassuna who moved to UCU Lady Cardinals, Nalukenge will be looked at this season as the possible replacement to fill the void.
The diminutive forward has shown great improvement this season scoring across all cylinders including being voted the Most Valuable player at this year’s East Africa Secondary School games.
Kawempe has suffered a massive exodus of key players including Hasifa Nassuna.
The others include; Yudaya Nakayenze, Ruth Aturo who have also joined UCU Lady Cardinals while lanky forward Favour Nambatya joined Muteesa I Royal University.
The 2017/18 Fufa Women elite league is expected to kick off on 14th October.
