If there is any league that seems far from attaining organisation, it has got to be the Fufa Women Elite League.
With just a few days to the proposed kick off date of 14th October, teams were not certain of their first games with the fixtures not yet released.
It was until Wednesday evening that the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) released the final fixture for the 2017/18 season.
The league will get under on Saturday with one game between Muteesa I Royal University and Ajax Queens at Wankulukuku.
The two sides have made several recruitments before the start of the season and will look forward to using some of their new players.
Muteesa have lanky forward Favour Nambatya and versatile player Caroline Anyango while on the other hand, Ajax Queens unveiled eight new signings last week including midfielder Phiona Nabumba from Rines FC.
The league will then resume on Sunday with four fixtures including last season’s finalists UCU Lady Cardinals visiting Uganda Martyrs High School Rubaga.
New comers Isra Academy will play their maiden league game against She MAK in Kawempe, She Corporate will host Gafford Ladies while Olila High School host rivals Eastern Heroes in the Soroti derby.
Kawempe Muslim have won all the three editions since inception in 2015.
