Fufa Opens Application Process for New Cranes Coach

The Federation of Uganda of Football Associations (FUFA) has officially opened the application process for the post of Uganda Cranes head coach.

FUFA through the CEO, Edgar Watson announced on Wednesday morning that the process for the search of Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic’s replacement.

While addressing the Media, Watson indicated FUFA through the emergency committee agreed to advertise the position of the head coach.

“The emergency committee sat and agreed to have a process for the search of a new coach for the national team start,” he said.

Watson notes that applicants will vie for the post through email (vacancy@fufa.co.ug) with the process running between 23rd-29th October.

After the application process, the names will be forwarded to a technical panel that has been constituted to scrutinize the applicants.

The panel of five will be headed by Zambian football legend, Kalushya Bwalya who also serves on the CAF EXCOM.

The other members of the panel will include; Asuman Lubowa(Fufa Technical Director), Livingston Kyambadde ( Chairman Association of Football Coaches), FUFA CEO, Edgar Watson, and a representative from National Council of Sports.

The Fufa executive committee will then sit and decide on who takes the job.

Micho stepped down from the Cranes job in August this year and Moses Basena has been interim coach since then.
