Ajax Queens Football Club and Uganda Christian University (UCU) Lady Cardinals were the biggest winners in the Fufa Women Elite League over the weekend earning comfortable wins.
UCU Lady Cardinals did not find any trouble to dispatch new league comers Isra Academy in the game played in Mukono on Sunday.
The University side who were coming from a 7-0 win against Wakiso Hills ensured they kept the momentum with another good performance easing 4-0 past Isra.
Skipper Moreen Kinavudori struck a brace while Hasifa Nassuna and Yudaya Nakayenze scored a goal apiece to complete the rout.
The result meant UCU moved to second position in Elizabeth group on 13 points, three behind leaders Olila.
The other games played in Elizabeth group saw Uganda Martyrs High School share spoils with Kampala Queens while Wakiso Hills edged 1-0 past bottom placed Eastern Heroes.
In Victoria group, Ajax Queens bridged the gap between them and leaders Kawempe Muslim to three points after a comfortable 4-0 win over Western United.
A brace from Annet Namwenge and another from Moureen Afoyo saw the visitors earn maximum points in the game played in Kabwohe, Bushenyi district.
Ajax Queens ended the first round on 13 points, three behind Kawempe who drew goalless against Gafford Ladies earlier on Saturday.
